In the February half term, the CANDO project made a trip to the Centre for Life to talk to people about neurons, specialised cells for transmitting nerve impulses.  Young neuroscientists were invited to colour in pictures of neurons or to even make their own neuron. It was a very busy day with altogether around 100 neurons being made.  Eager young scientists learnt about neurons use dendrites to 'listen' to other neurons around it and has an axon to 'talk'.
